Those Dreaded Pimple Breakouts

Caudalie favorites on-the-go: shop travel sizes!

Now that my daughter is entering her pre-teen years, Pimple breakouts are starting to make a special appearance  and it is not fun!.  Specially for her.

I have done some research on the different products available in the market that can help reduce pimples and acne breakouts.  I will list some later on in this post, but I have also found some tips that can help prevent those dreaded pimples from from popping up on our face in the first place.

1) Sleep well: Get seven to eight hours of sleep at night, which is the time needed for your skin to recoup and heal any damage done to it during the day.  According to WebMD your body repairs itself and recovers while you snooze, and that leads to a long list of benefits for your looks. The key is to get enough sleep hours, about 7 to 9 quality hours each night.

2) Cut out dairy. The  androgen hormones in cow’s milk may cause hormonal imbalances in women and result in breakouts. Therefore,  if you can cut them out of your diet you may see an improvement in your skin and you may prevent those pimples from popping out.

3) Eat antioxidant-rich Berries: Include pomegranates and blueberries in your diet to help your face and body heal faster.  According to www.livestrong.com Pomegranate juice and blueberry juice are both good sources of antioxidants, vitamin C and vitamin K. Pomegranate juice is also a good source of folic acid and copper, and blueberry juice is a good source manganese.

4) Change your pillowcase weekly: We all know that bacteria or left over makeup residue can cause a major blow to your skin causing pimples to appear on your face. Dust mites, detergents can all contribute to breakouts.  For those with severe acne some dermatologists recommend changing the pillowcase once a week.

In addition to these tips, I have found these products to help with Acne, breakouts and pimple breakouts.
